The Costco food court is a massive appeal to avid Costco shoppers—cheap food prices during a long shopping haul can be a sweet reprieve. It’s famous for its $1.50 hot dog (which still has not changed) and plenty of other food options, like massive cheese and pepperoni pizzas. It’s refreshing to have a spot to take a break while you’re shopping all the crazy good Costco deals. You might even find some regional-specific items, like churros in certain California stores and poutine in Canada.
Now it’s time for the Costco Roast Beef sandwich to take the stage, and we’re ready to take a big, hearty bite.

The buzz around the new beef sandwich started on Reddit. When the original picture was posted from the Lynwood Costco, Reddit users began to chime in left and right. What were they talking about the most? The price!
Some Reddit users have mentioned the $9.99 price tag is a bit steep for their liking. Especially when it’s put up against their famous $1.50 hot dog deal.
“Yeah that’s a little pricey… Same price as a whole pizza,” said Reddit user @BIGREDDMACH1NE.
“The $1.50 hot dog and soda is the only way to go,” stated Reddit user TheRightStuff14.
On the other hand, some Reddit folks believed the sandwich sounded tasty and thought it was still worth a shot.
“It’s a YES for me. I’m willing to pay the inflation rate on the old Turkey sandwich if they’d bring it back, and if this roast beef is cooked well enough I’ll pay the price for it as well,” mentioned Reddit user @HaveBlue_2.
“$10 is a little spendy compared to other items but hell I would definitely try it,” commented Reddit user @mama_koolaid.
Will the new sandwich stand the test of Costco time? We’ll just have to wait and see!
